New York, N.Y. — The United Nations came alive, and celebrations ranted the air during the Manevia Forum Summit, an international think tank of Africans in Diaspora banding together to address pressing global issue principally that negatively impacts the continent of Africa.
The 2022 Manevia Forum summit was the 3rd year anniversary it held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, on the 28th of October 2022 and it gathered international problem solvers from across the globe who have dedicated themselves to creating positive impact especially on the continent of Africa and other developing nations and poor nations.
All program discussions, deliberation, recommendations where all centered on the Sustainable development goals and an open declaration by participants and guests on the need to move beyond to ensure that sustainable development goals are attained in Arica and across the globe.
Our founder, Dr. Gbujie Daniel Chidubem, was invited as a panelist to share his thoughts on the growing threat of mental health within the African and to proffer solutions while shedding light on his recent campaigns and integration of the mental health work with his climate advocacy. He explained that “climate change and its disruptive nature is creating climate induced anxiety among Africans who have been affected by persistent extreme impact of desertification in the Northern Sahara region and massive flood in the west coast of Arica it has left millions of vulnerable citizens displaced from their homes and with extensive destruction of their life investment“ – he said.
The highlight of the ceremony was the multiple award event organization by a coalition of African youth-based groups appreciating organizations and individuals that have contributed towards the advancement of the continents and its people. The African leadership award event was anchored by Ms. Mary Apollo, the CEO of Four Directions, a Washington based group pushing for better sustainable and self-sufficient Africa for all African under democratic system.

“I am eternally surprised and indeed grateful to all African youth in diaspora and professional bodies who were part of this nominations, just like I told my team and staff it only means that mush more will be required, we just have to collaborate much more with other people and organization till our goal of a green world is possible especially in the global south”. He said.
Other Awardees recipients of personal awards of excellence were Emmanuel Flomo who is the Co-Founder of the Manevia Forum, Hawa Taylor-Kamara Diallo an official of the UN, and Dr. Luis Garcia a board-certified surgeon who doubles as the President of Sanford Health Clinical Division.
Furthermore, three organizations were equally honored Manevia Forum, Team54Project International and Sanford Health especially was recognized for their unending support in the delivery and establishment of quality healthcare services in Ghana and likely establishment of more centers across Africa.
Dr. Garcia who got an individual award of excellence and received the Sanford Health Award at the United Nations, thanked the Liberian Government, summit organizers, United Nations agencies and delegates for who collaborated to organized.
The event ended with a small after party hosted by Dr. Onyetulem, founder of Stevenson Holistic Foundation in Manhattan, New York in honor of Dr Gbujie for his exceptional and distinctive contributions to strengthening and inspire Africans to create a better continent.
